I Love This Moisturizer!!!!!
Today I am going to share the moisturizer I have been using for months. I have now made my third batch and I love it soooo much, I made a triple recipe. I have been reading and reading for months, trying to learn all I can about the different oils out there and which will be best for my over 50 skin. I have been using quality Salon skin care for 30+ years. For the last couple of years I started researching Organic skin care. I have purchased, I think, from about six different Organic manufacturers’. The cost for a tiny 1/2 oz of Moisturizer or Serum is pretty pricey.
With taking the plunge of deciding to have my own Web Page also came deciding I was going to start making my own healthy skin care. And then to write about it.
All of these recipes will be best if made with cold/expeller pressed, organic ingredients. I was so overwhelmed when I first started, that I did not always order what I thought I was. I would get expeller pressed, pure, and then realize I did not get Organic. So for right now you may see in my pictures that I do not have Organic. When I use everything up that I have bought I will be more careful. I do feel that even though I made that mistake, everything that I have made at least does not have added bad chemicals in it.

I use this on my face, neck, décolletage and arms.
1 tbl Apricot Kernel Oil – Apricot Kernel Oil Organic Pure Cold Pressed
1 tbl Jojoba Oil – NOW Foods Organic Jojoba Oil,
1 tbl Rosehip Seed Oil – Reviver Rosehip Seed Oil Certified Organic 100% Pure
1 tbl Beeswax Pastilles – Beeswax Organic Pastilles, Yellow,
1/2 tsp Carrot Seed Oil * – 100% PURE Virgin Carrot Seed Oil Cold pressed, Unrefined, Organic
3 tbl Rose Water – room temp –Elma and Sana 100% Pure Moroccan Rose Water or make your own
I use my 4 cup glass measuring cup because it fits in one of my pots and works as a perfect double boiler. Also because it has a handle and my immersion blender fit inside it to blend.
Melt your Organic Beeswax Pastilles slowly in your double boiler. Remove from heat carefully. All your other oils will probably be room temperature, and you want your Rose Water to be room temperature.
Add the oils to your melted Beeswax.
Gently mix with your immersion blender. This is the one I bought.
Next add your room temp Rose water and mix more with the immersion blender. It will blend up
the texture of whipped cream. If your Rose water is a little too cool you might need to stick your cup back in the boiling water to warm up a bit. If you warmed your Rose water up and it is a bit warm, it will just take a bit longer for your moisturizer to cool at bit and whip up beautifully.
This moisturizer has no preservatives in it, but because of the water it can mold. I put a small amount, maybe a couple of weeks worth, in a repurposed container that I put in my bathroom medicine cabinet. Then I put the rest in a small jar that I leave in the meat keeper drawer of my refrigerator. That drawer sits at a temperature
just warmer than freezing. I then refill my small container as needed.
*More Carrot Seed Oil is great. In my second batch I used 1 1/2 tsp. I am really having a hard time getting used to its’ scent. So for this batch I backed it off. I can now smell my Rose Water again.
